Live edge spalted maple and onyx black epoxy double river pub and bar table. Includes farmhouse inspired lap joint X legs that are made of ash and wire brushed, then finished with black paint. With apron and gussets underneath to stabilize and support.

DeleteReally nice piece! I'm planning out a dining table project and looking at some slabs with getting amounts of spalting. Did you do anything to prep or stabilize the wood before putting the epoxy? I've heard tell the soft spalted wood doesn't bond well, and can give inconsistent finishes.
